For March, GayRidge is exploring the LGBTQ history of Brooklyn, from Coney Island burlesque to Fulton Street drag kings to Brooklyn Heights poets. Join us for a discussion of When Brooklyn Was Queer by Hugh Ryan (and whatever else you’ve been reading!) on Sunday, March 24, at 2pm at Lock Yard, 9221 5th Ave, Bay Ridge. RSVP.

Dec 17- Holigay Party
GayRidge’s first “Holigay Party” will be at Ginger’s Bar in Park Slope. Come celebrate the season with members of GayRidge and enjoy a live DJ, free cupcakes, and door prizes. 21+, no cover. SUNDAY, Dec 17, 2:00-5:00PM, 363 5th Ave (F, G, R trains to 4th Ave/9th Street station).
OCTOBER 2023 EVENTS
Oct 15- GayRidge Pumpkin Festival
The 3rd Annual GayRidge Pumpkin Festival.
SUNDAY, Oct 15, 2:00pm-5:0pm at The Brooklyn Firefly, 7003 3rd Ave (R to “Gay Ridge Ave”). A free, all ages pumpkin carving/decorating contest, with a chance to win prizes, goodie bags by local shops, The Ridge Kids and The Ridge Shop–as well as pizza and drink specials for purchase. Those interested in sharing their artistic talents should reserve a pumpkin.
JUNE 2023 EVENTS
June 4- GayRidge Pride
On Sunday, June 4th, 2023 (rain date June 11th, 2023) from 12:00 PM - 4:00PM, GayRidge, a South Brooklyn LGBTQIA+ community group, will host GayRidge Pride 2023 in Owl’s Head Park. Those attending this free event can enjoy a picnic at scenic “Pride Hill,” overlooking the bay, while celebrating Pride with live performances by local LGBTQIA+ musicians, drag performers, and other artists. Owl’s Head Park, located at 68th Street and Bliss Terrace, Bay Ridge, is easily accessible by public transportation via the R train to Bay Ridge Ave or the NYC Ferry to Pier 69.

MAY 2023 EVENTS
May 12 - Status: Queer
Haus of Madusa, GayRidge, and Status Q present STATUS QUEER, a monthly billiards and burlesque party at Status Q.
FRIDAY, May 12 will feature DJ Cilla BK and performances by
Madame Lyoness and Judy Le Booty. $10 cover at the door. 8pm-1:00am at Status Q, 8218 3rd Ave (R to 86th).
May 17 - GayRidge Game Night
GayRidge at the Next Move Cafe offers LGBTQIA+ community and a wide selection of board games for all!! There is a $10 admission fee to the cafe and snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
WEDNESDAY, May 17, 7pm at Next Move Cafe, Bensonhurst, 6 Bay 23rd St. (D train to X or B6, B82, and B1 bus routes.)
